Fair Trade Month: Where are the Books?

It is extremely gratifying to know that 3,000 copies of Fair Trade: A Beginner's Guide have been purchased. I find it personally affirming after two years of work on that little green thing! I am also hopeful that the book is helping consumers understand the important and powerful role they have in the Fair Trade movement....I'm not so happy that no books seem to be available to during Fair Trade month here in the States! Yes, it is true, the first print run has been exhausted and the second 3,000 are on the way.

First, if you helped create this situation by buying or selling copies of my book, THANK YOU! If you are looking to get your hands on one for a study group or other Fair Trade month activity, it seems your best bet is from my old buddies at Fair Trade Resource Network. Other groups like A Greater Gift and Fair Trade LA (a posting on my time with them this weekend is coming!) have them on back order, and we are hopeful for October delivery. Also, you are welcome to ask at a local bookstore to get on their order list, or come out to one of my upcoming talks. Tomorrow, October 4, I head to Peace Coffee and the Common Roots coffeehouse! Thanks to those guys, the Institute for Agricultural Trade Policy and Wedge Coop, for their support.
