Evolution of Fair Trade Thinking

It was five years ago this very World Fair Trade Day weekend that Fair Trade: A Beginner's Guide was released.  The book has since been published in hardback and is also available for Kindle.   No matter what the version, a lot has happened in the movement since.   I like to think the book's theoretical underpinnings and my particular point of view are still relevant.  Not to say my perspectives haven't evolved.  In fact, I am quite sure that I am not the same fair trader I was when I wrote the book.  In terms of new perspectives, a few months back Chicago Fair Trade Coalition asked me, as a representative of Catholic Relief Services,  to reflect on fair trade apparel in particular.
